My teaching style is enthusiastic, organized, and my classes are well managed.  I believe in using positive discipline to motivate students to stay on task and continue learning.  I strive to inspire students to trust their abilities and continue to pursue their art in whatever form they choose.

I am an artist and an art teacher.  As an artist, I have learned how important it is for me to create and develop my personal art.  This gives me the connection necessary between student and teacher.  It helps me identify what it's like to be in their shoes.  I have a bachelor of fine arts in drawing and a bachelor of arts in art education with a concentration in graphic arts from Virginia Intermont College.  For the past five years I have been teaching in the public schools and at an art museum.  All of these positions have helped me develop my teaching style.

Thank you for visiting my teaching page.  I wish I had every moment and piece of art captured in a photo for you.
No amount of skillful invention can replace the essential element of imagination.  Hopper
